In beginning of October 2014 I’ve been in the Lechtal, Austria to do some free flying. Saturday the weather conditions have been great, I made new friends and just had a great time. I climbed to the cloudbase and enjoyed the stunning landscape!
Thermals have been a bit rough in some places but I felt very safe and comfortable cause I did a SIV with Airsthetik last year at Lake Garda.
So I knew the behavior/flight characteristics of the glider and that I’m able to control it.
Vaavud is specialiced with windmeters for Smartphones, they support me with this great accessiores so I can easily measure the wind on the takeoff. With the Vaavud App it’s also possible to check if someone on a other mountain or valley in my area upload his windmeasurments.
