Am 5. Dezember 2014 läuft die 2 jährige Verlängerung ab, die Deutschland für die Änderungen der SERA-Verordnung in Anspruch genommen hat. Eine Neufassung der Luftverkehrsordnung ist in Arbeit und soll bereits im Janua 2015 in Kraft treten. Die Änderungen sind nötig um europäisches und nationales Recht anzugleichen.
